Odiirah Nansamba

Communications Specialist

Odiirah Nansamba is a dynamic Public Relations and Communications Specialist with over 15 years of experience in strategic communication, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and brand management. She has worked extensively with government ministries and international organizations, shaping public communication strategies and enhancing institutional visibility.

Currently, Odiirah serves as a Communication Specialist for the GROW Project under the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, where she leads communication efforts to promote project initiatives and stakeholder engagement. She previously held similar roles at the Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project (USEEP) under the Ministry of Education and Sports, and as a Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Health, where she spearheaded crisis communication strategies and digital media outreach.

Beyond government service, she has worked with international organizations such as the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), where she developed advocacy campaigns, policy briefs, and public engagement strategies. Her career also includes experience in media, journalism, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Odiirah holds a Master’s in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University, a Professional PR Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), UK, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Makerere University. She is a member of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) and CIPR, with expertise in strategic communication, digital content creation, crisis management, and public affairs.

With a passion for impactful storytelling and brand positioning, Odiirah continues to shape communication strategies that drive engagement, transparency, and positive public perception.
