Cuthbert is an environment and natural resources management specialist with more than 14 years of experience in various environmental management and monitoring tools, Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), implementation and monitoring of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs) as well as implementation of participatory tools to development such as Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and Stakeholder Analysis.
Cuthbert holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management from Makerere University, Kampala.
Cuthbert has previously implemented World Bank funded projects that include the ‘Great Lakes Trade Facilitation’ Project in Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives and ‘Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate Smart Development’ Project in Ministry of Water and Environment.
Cuthbert’s wish is to contribute to sound environmental and natural resource management and policy formation in a way that is inclusive and invites lasting bottom-up solutions to environment and natural resources management.
